ITO is pleased to present the Cyber Security and Privacy Week, a university-wide initiative dedicated to promoting Digital Hygiene and strengthening our collective defence against digital threats.
Our Mission
In an increasingly connected world, safeguarding our personal and institutional information is more critical than ever. This initiative aims to foster good digital practices and encourage active participation from all members of the University community. Our goal is to enhance cybersecurity and data privacy awareness in an accessible way, equipping you with practical knowledge for your daily work and study.
Event Highlights

Sessions will be led by representatives from the Hong Kong Police Force, PricewaterhouseCoopers Hong Kong (PwC), and Office of Council and Court Secretariat and Legal (CCSL), covering crucial topics in cybersecurity, online safety, and data privacy.

Game 1: Cyber Shield Challenge
Games Rules:
Each round consists of 5 multiple‑choice cybersecurity questions in Kahoot.
Select one answer per question and submit to proceed.
To complete the challenge, you must answer all 5 questions correctly.
If you answer any question incorrectly, the round ends and you need to queue up again.
No external help or collaboration during a round.
Once an answer is submitted, it cannot be changed.
Prize:
- Answer all 5 questions correctly to win the Game 1 prize and advance to Game 2.
Game 2: Spin and Spot
Games Rules:
Spin the virtual wheel on the iPad to pick your game category, either:
- Share examples of good data privacy protection practice.
- Play the Scam Spotting Game - identify phishing or fraud attempts.
- Review sample emails and decide: Report, Delete, or Ignore.
Each participant gets one spin per round to keep the game fair.
Prize:
- Answer the question/Perform the task correctly to win the Game 2 prize and advance to Lucky Draw.
